Farsley Celtic were disappointed to come away from the long trip to Kendal Town with only a point.

Unsurprisingly Lewis Nightingale, who has pledged his immediate future to Farsley, gave them their first half lead. On Saturday against Ossett Albion, Jordan Deacey scored after a pass from Nightingale. Deacey returned the favour at Kendal with a cross which his midfield colleague converted.

Farsley enjoyed a period of dominance as Aiden Savory also fired an effort over the crossbar. Farsley goalkeeper Tom Taylor escaped a potential red card after a foul on the edge of the penalty area, but he made up for it by making a good save from the free kick.

Chances continued to flow for Farsley. Nightingale came close to adding a second and Savory was inches away from scoring in a separate chance,

The missed chances came back to haunt them as Kendal launched a counter-attack which ended with Leon Gierke winning the one-on-one battle with Taylor.

Farsley Celtic: Taylor, Hardy (captain), Howarth, Sugden (O’Brien), Clayton, Miller, Nightingale, Daly, Walker (Osborne), Savory, Deacey. Subs unused: Lofthouse, Connor, Bunch.
