Paul Clayton has been reunited with his old strike partner after title-chasing Harrogate Town signed Liam Hearn.

The pair had the best strike partnership in the Division at the turn of the decade when they were together at Alfreton Town.

Hearn, who arrives from Lincoln City, scored 71 times in 110 appearances for Alfreton as he and Clayton fired them to the title in 2011.

Hearn’s performances earned him a move to Grimsby Town that year. The striker is likely to make his Town debut on Saturday when AFC Telford United visit the CNG Stadium.
