Harrogate Railway have let long-serving utility man Simon Parkes join local neighbours Knaresborough Town so he can build up his match fitness.
Parkes has struggled to get back into Lee Ashforth’s side since returning from suspension. But he will be back at Station View before the season ends as he is part of Railway’s great escape plans.
Ashforth said: “Since suspension his chances have been limited and I want him ready for our run in.
“Additionally, it is great to be able to help Paul Stansfield and Knaresborough Town in their push for promotion.
“Simon is not only a great player, but a great friend and after discussions with him I want him to be happy playing games. I sincerely hope to have him back with us before our season ends.”
