Iwan Heeley has signed for AFC Emley
AFC Emley has added former Pontefract Collieries right-back Iwan Heeley to their ranks for the promotion run-in.
Heeley left Pontefract a few months ago, but brings promotion experience to Emley, who sit in a good position with ten games left.
The defender was a key part of Pontefract’s side which finished second last season. He can also play in goal, something he did a few times for Pontefract – most notably in the decisive 2-1 victory at promotion rivals Hemsworth, a result that put the Collieries three points away from a return to the Premier Division.
Heeley has also played for Albion Sports and Hemsworth Miners Welfare.
Emley are now at home to Dronfield Town tomorrow as the fixture has been reversed.
