Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup
Ryan Hindley will be shuffling his Hallam pack, but that does not mean he is under-estimating Houghton Main.
The delayed quarter-finals tie is expected to be played tonight at Penistone Church. The winner will face a tough trip to holders Frickley Athletic in the semi-finals.
Main have already caused one major upset this season by dumping Stocksbridge Park Steels out of the competition.
But the 2-2 draw with Hemsworth took a lot out of play-offs chasing Hallam so Hindley will be giving some of his fringe players a chance.
“There is a big prize at the end of it which is Hillsborough, but the thing for me is making sure we are right for Saturday because we have a big game against Grimsby,” Hindley said.
“There is no point putting in a shift like they did against Hemsworth to then throw it away against Grimsby.
“Houghton Main are a good side and I wouldn’t disrespect them. I will be going as strong as I can, but my main priority is getting this club in the play-offs.”
