James Knowles, pictured in 2008, is back at Farsley Celtic
Farsley Celtic have re-signed one of the key members of their famous 2007 promotion-winning squad.
Defender James Knowles was in Lee Sinnott’s team that shocked many by winning promotion to the Conference Premier. Knowles also played a major part in the promotion-winning campaigns in 2004 and 2006.
Apart from a brief spell back at Throstle Nest in 2010, Knowles left Farsley in 2009 to join Bradford (Park Avenue). While with Avenue, he helped them climb into the Conference North in 2012.
Knowles started last season at FC United of Manchester. A broken leg curtailed his career with them as he was released a few month ago.
