Handsworth Parramore created a four-point lead at the top of the table after overcoming a hard-working Parkgate side.

In blustery conditions  both sides battled for supremacy. Chances were few and far between, but the game turned on 34 minutes. Parkgate goalkeeper Josh Lill was given a straight red card for a foul on Kieran Wells, Sam Foulds took over between the posts.

A powering header from Gareth Griffiths on 43 minutes put the visitors ahead. With the half entering a second minute of added time Ben Thornton saw his superb 20 yard lob beat Archie Sneath to give Parkgate a deserved equaliser.

The second half was a hard fought encounter, but the visitors got back in front with a penalty from Jon Froggatt on 58 minutes. Ross Shelton saw his effort well saved on 64 minutes as the Parkgatesought an equaliser. Handsworth were able to add a third through Wells to end Parkgate’s hopes of snatching a point.
