Athersley Rec climbed out of the relegation zone after a magnificent, but vital midweek victory at Barton Town.
Saturday’s defeat at Garforth Town sunk the Rec into a dangerous position with only five games left, prior to the visit to Barton.
Kai Hancock was Athersley’s hero. His goal on the hour mark has lifted the Rec up to 16th.
Thackley 1-1 Liversedge
Tom Dugdale’s late goal prevented Liversedge from climbing out of the bottom three for the first time in months.
Rhys Jenkinson’s long range screamer had appeared to have handed in-form ‘Sedge another priceless victory in their great escape quest.
That was until former Farsley player Dugdale struck gold with a last gasp free kick.
