Selby Town 1-0 AFC Emley
Selby Town moved into the driving seat for the final FA Cup place after ending promotion-chasing Emley’s unbeaten league run which stemmed back to October.
The surprise victory puts Selby’s interim bosses Nigel Emery and Reuben Pearse firmly in the box-seat for the permanent position.
The result certainly backs up Emery’s argument on Friday that Selby “are hard to beat” as it is the first time that Emley have failed to score in this season.
Striker Tom Owen got the decisive goal on the half-hour mark.
