Penistone were held to a draw at Eccleshill, delaying confirmation of their play-offs place.
Church are still in the driving seat for one of the two final spots – only Shirebrook Town, Hallam and Knaresborough are in the running as well.
A win at Eccleshill would have booked Church’s place for the end of season lottery and Danny Joynes appeared to put them on course with an early goal.
Eccleshill started the second half strongly and soon levelled matters with Adam Turner sliding the ball home.
There was a late chance for Penistone which saw them hit the post, but a defeat would have been harsh on hard-working Eccleshill.
