Toolstation NCEL Division One
Hemsworth Miners Welfare have been finally crowned champions without playing a fixture.
Crisis club Lincoln Moorlands Railway have resigned from the league with immediate effect. Their record has been expunged which has in turn secured the title for the Wells.
It is a deserved achievement for Hemsworth as Wayne Benn and his side have been superb all season. That is also reflected in the fact they have only lost league games.
Lincoln’s departure does have slight ramifications for the play-offs race. Penistone have all but secured their place as Shirebrook and Knaresborough need Church to lose their final two games and then overhaul their higher goals-difference. Hallam are in the driving seat for sixth-place.
