Kieran Wells scored two in Handsworth’s 6-0 win over Clipstone

Handsworth are back at the top of the table after a big victory over Billy Fox’s Clipstone.

The first half though was far from straightforward. Gareth Griffiths headed them ahead early on, but then Clipstone had a goal disallowed.

That must have spurred Handsworth on as Kieran Wells went through and rounded goalkeeper Steve Hernandez to score.

Wells added his second and Parramore’s third, just four minutes later with a placed finish.

Defender Griffiths killed any hopes of a Clipstone comeback straight after the interval.

Parramore completed their victory in the final ten minutes. Good play between Ash Burbeary and Simon Harrison enabled Jon Froggatt to score the fifth.

Clipstone’s Michael Trench was then sent off for a bad challenge on Steve Warne. From the resulting free kick, Alex Rippon pounced to score with a header.

Hall Road Rangers 1-1 AFC Mansfield

An unbelievable strike from Paul Wilson earned Hall Road a point and kept Mansfield’s champagne on ice.

Grant Allott’s 56th minute goal had appeared to have scored the goal to take Mansfield into the Premier Division.

However, Wilson struck in the last minute. Hall Road also nearly won it in stoppage time, but Ben Kinsley fired wide.
