Phil Lindley threw Pontefract Collieries a survival lifeline with the only goal of the vital victory over Clipstone.

Lindley struck in the second half and that proved to be enough for the Colls.

Pontefract also survived a last minute Clipstone penalty by Liam Royles which was saved by goalkeeper Liam Corbett.

Athersley Rec 0-2 Maltby Main

Jason Dodsworth’s final home game in joint charge of Athersley did not end with a win.

Two goals from Cameron Rigby, in either half, looks to have secured Maltby their highest finish in 20 years.

Dodsworth bows out with Athersley’s trip to Tadcaster Albion next Saturday.

Bridlington Town 2-1 Cleethorpes Town

Bridlington’s second to last home game of the campaign ended on a high against Cleethorpes, whose hopes of landing third spot hang in the balance.

First half goals from Andy Norfolk and Brett Agnew were good enough for Bridlington. Luke Mascall reduced the deficit in the second half.

Barton Town Old Boys 1-1 Pickering Town

Ryan Cooper cancelled out Barton’s Tom Darwood’s late strike to keep Pickering in pole position for sixth place.

Pickering were also reduced to ten men during the clash with Dave Anderson’s Barton.
