Droylsden 1-3 Ossett Town
Ossett Town celebrated their sixth win out of eight league matches – a run that has spectacularly starved off the very real threat of relegation.
If their form has been a dream so was the start at Droylsden as Brad Kilner fired them ahead from a corner inside the first minute.
The Bloods didn’t learn from that either as within another few minutes, Ossett’s talisman Danny Frost had converted a second corner.
Ossett goalkeeper Thomas Beaurepaire played his part towards half-time by turning Danny Parkinson’s header onto the post.
Another save followed, along with an outstanding block from Andy Hawksworth. The pressure eventually sold when Parkinson scored on the hour.
Fortunately for Ossett, Steve Ridley struck a wonderful free kick to put the game beyond Droylsden.
