Tadcaster Albion can take a massive step towards the Northern Premier League this evening.
Tadcaster visit their nearest rivals Garforth Town, knowing a victory would leave needing just one more out of their final two games to win the title.
Billy Miller is not getting carried away and has pointed out that his team have played a lot of matches recently, just like rivals Handsworth Parramore.
“You have got to remember that Saturday was probably our sixth game in just over a week and a half,” he said.
“People forget that and I know it is the same for other teams, but that is why you are getting the odd freak result here and there.
“Maltby were better than us on the night last week, we can accept that. The fact we have had to play so many games in so little time is frustrating sometimes as a manager because we have played a quarter of our season in the last two weeks.
“It needs a little looking into because they are not professional players and these lads have to work.
“It is difficult, but let us not lose sight of the fact that Saturday was a massive three points for us.
“We go to Garforth and then we’re back at Tadcaster on Thursday and Saturday. We couldn’t have wrote the script any better for ourselves, but we have to try and see if we can get over-the-line and finish the job.”
