Toolstation NCEL Division One
AFC Emley 1-0 Penistone Church
Kieran Ryan caused pandemonium after scoring the last gasp winner to send AFC Emley into the inaugural Division One play-offs final.
The semi-final tie, which attracted an unbelievable 463 people, was destined to head to extra-time until Ryan intervened to put Emley one win away from their first ever promotion as a reformed club.
Unstated star Jordan Coduri was the key player in the build-up to the winner as it was his run and cross that presented Ryan with the golden moment.
All the pre-match build-up was about Ash Flynn and whether he would recover from his hamstring problem. Unsurprisingly he did, but his strike-partner stole the headlines.
Both sides gave everything. Among the notable chances, Ryan also hit the crossbar, while goalkeeper Adam Lawlor made a terrific save from Penistone strike Ollie Fearon.
Emley will play the winner of tonight’s other play-offs semi-final between Bottesford Town and Hallam on Saturday.
