Let’s get the job done. That’s the message from Billy Miller as Tadcaster Albion sit on the brink of winning the title.

The destination of the Premier Division trophy is firmly in Tadcaster’s hands as one more win out of their final two league games will send it to the i2i Sports Stadium.

The first chance is tonight when they entertain Armthorpe, a game is likely to attract a huge crowd.

Miller played down the suggestion that it is the biggest match in Tadcaster’s history and said there was still a lot of work to be done.

“You’d probably have to ask people who have been around the club a lot longer than me (to find out whether it is the biggest game in Tadcaster’s history),” Miller said.

“They have had some good times. They won Division One under Marshy (Paul Marshall) and have got to the quarter-finals of the FA Vase.

“I think for us to be on the brink of being promoted from this league is phenomenal, but we’re not quite there yet.

“We get two stabs of the cherry at it and we have to make sure we finish the job. It is about getting over-the-line and the sooner the better.

“There will be no celebrations from us until we get over-the-line and that’s our job as a management team to keep each other grounded.”
