AFC Emley endured heartbreak in the inaugural Division One play-off final after losing on penalties.

It was the second blow as Bottesford actually equalised in the final minute of normal time from Terry Barwick’s spot kick to take it to extra-time. Until then, captain Michael Tunnacliffe’s header had appeared to have sent Emley up into the Premier Division.

Iwan Heeley, Ash Flynn, Robbie Graham and Sam Jerome missed in the shootout.

AFC Emley: Day, Heeley, Coduri, Graham, S Jerome, Brennan, Tunnacliffe (captain), Townend, Flynn, Ryan, R Jerome. Subs: Noteman, Billington, Hallam, Sykes, Slack.
