Staveley Miners Welfare 0-1 Pontefract Collieries

Pontefract Collieries midfielder Mark Whitehouse has given his side hope of avoiding relegation
Pontefract Collieries have set-up a final game win-or-bust situation after winning at Staveley Miners Welfare.
The Colls will be relegated on Tuesday night if they fail to beat Handsworth Parramore in the delayed clash. A point is no good as Armthorpe Welfare have a superior goals-difference, but a win will relegate the Doncaster-based side.
The vital victory at Staveley was secured by Mark Whitehouse who struck in the first half.
The task on Tuesday is far from simple as league runners-up Handsworth thrashed their tenants Worksop Town 5-0 at Sandy Lane.
Jon Froggatt, who is in pole position to win the league’s golden boot, hit a hat-trick. Kieran Wells and Danny Buttle also scored.
