Danny Harris was the big winner at Garforth Town’s annual awards ceremony.

The popular wide man, who stayed loyal during the mass exodus, picked up the supporters’ player of the year award plus the prestigious players’ player gong.

Garforth’s managerial team of Adrian Costello, Rob Hunter and Mark Ford gave defender Greg Kidd their managers’ player of the year award.

Curtly Martin-Wyatt won the golden boot and also shared the goal of the season award after a vote. Mark Simpson was the other joint winner for his goal against Pontefract Collieries last month.

Garforth also presented the first Ralph Backhouse award – a new award, commemorating the late, great Miners supporter. This was presented to the recipient of most man of the match awards in a season. Club captain Jassim Alali received the trophy.

Over the next few days, Non League Yorkshire will be publishing who won what at presentation nights across the region. Email info@nonleagueyorkshire.com with details if you want your club’s presentation night publicised.
