Graham Nicholas is back in the game after being appointed as the new manager of Nostell Miners Welfare

Former Garforth Town and Ossett Town boss Graham Nicholas has been named as the new manager of relegated Nostell Miners Welfare.

Nicholas’ return to semi-professional football was confirmed last night and he is the permanent replacement for Paul Lines, who resigned in February.

A-License coach Nicholas is seen as an excellent appointment for Nostell as his methods are the perfect fit for the Crofton-based club. Nostell have some of the best training facilities in the region and Nicholas will use them fully to his advantage. Their first team pitch is also superb and that will suit his style of play.

Nicholas was in charge of Garforth for two and half years until October 2015. Under his stewardship Garforth surprised many by reaching the West Riding County Cup final last year.

He then moved onto Ossett Town. His time at Ingfield was difficult and the club parted company with him in February after just 11 games.
