Bridlington Town celebrate winning the East Riding Senior Cup

Bridlington Town successfully retained the East Riding Senior Cup thanks to Joel Sutton’s second half goal.

Ferriby, who will be playing National League football, fielded a strong side as they chased their first Senior Cup final since 2014.

Bridlington had to hold their nerve during the first half as Ferriby created the better chances.

Their reward was the only goal of the game, just after the hour mark. Some good play started the move and it ended with a fine finish from Sutton.

That was enough for Gary Allanson’s men, who rounded off a strong season.
