Bradford (Park Avenue) hope to appoint their new manager in the next seven days.
The club have also confirmed that Terry Dolan has been made their director of football. Dolan was already on the board of directors.
The former Bradford City manager, who started his playing career with Avenue, will be developing the community led academy which the club has fast-tracked to set up this summer.
The news comes as a respite for supporters who are frustrated at the lack of a manager and the fact that there have been a large number of departures from the club’s playing staff.
Former Barrow boss Darren Edmondson stood in as caretaker manager for the final acts of the season, but it remains to be seen whether he will get the permanent position.
