Toolstation NCEL Premier Division
Graham Nicholas’ first signing as Nostell Miners Welfare manager is quite a coup as he has captured former Blyth Spartans midfielder Joel Dixon.
Nicholas has also installed him as the club’s captain. Dixon has effectively dropped down a couple of Divisions to play for Nostell, who are back in Division One next season after their recent relegation.
He brings plenty of higher level experience to Nostell from spells with Harrogate Railway, Tadcaster Albion and Scarborough Athletic. He played very briefly for Ossett Town last season during the final throes of Nicholas’ reign at Ingfield.
He was with Blyth during their run to the FA Cup third round and was in the side that lost narrowly to Birmingham City.
