New Athersley Rec assistant manager Wayne Thompson
Former Worsbrough and and Hallam number two Wayne Thompson has been recruited as Athersley Rec’s new assistant manager.
Thompson is vastly-experienced and also had stints with Sheffield FC and Retford United.
Reserve team coach Kevan Locke will also be working with Athersley’s first team on a permanent basis next season.
Locke helped out with the first string for the final ten games of the season when the Rec successfully avoided relegation.
