Kieran Wells has pledged his future to runners-up Handsworth Parramore, despite offers from elsewhere.
Wells and his strike-partner Jon Froggatt both scored 40 goals as Parramore pushed eventual champions Tadcaster Albion all the way.
“It has been a turbulent few weeks and I’m so pleased that I’m here at Handsworth for at least another year where I’ll be looking at developing my game further, working hard and raising my personal bar,
“This club is second to none in how it operates from the chairman down. It is so welcoming and professionally run. The gaffer (Mick Godber) has been great with me and it’s the perfect place for me to push on with my game.
“I can’t wait for pre-season to start with Mick, Wardy (Mark Ward) and the lads and by the time August 6th comes we’ll be back challenging and ready for a big NCEL season.”
