The successful applicant will report to AFC Emley boss Darren Hepworth
AFC Emley are advertising for a new manager for their successful Development squad.
The majority of the team’s games are played midweek evenings – including at home on Monday nights. However, some Saturday football is also involved with occasional Lancashire League games and County cup fixtures.
These are open age competitions but, with the advent of Emley’s partnership with Kirklees College, it is our intention that the core of the team will be an unofficial U21 side with over-age players drawn from the first team squad when they require game time.
Success in this role is judged on the quality and quantity of players progressing to the first team squad. We place this criteria above results.
The right person will:
• have evidence of a commitment to working with and developing young players
• demonstrate good knowledge of junior and amateur teams in Huddersfield and surrounding areas
• be able to liaise with both AFC Emley’s first team manager and the new Under 19 / Kirklees College academy regarding player development
