Scarborough Athletic have announced the signing of FC Halifax Town goalkeeper Jordan Porter.
The 21-year-old joins the club following his release from FC Halifax Town at the end of May.
Jordan was understudy to Sam Johnson at the Shaymen for most of last season, but did make a couple of appearances for the first team in the National League as well appearing in their West Riding County Cup games. He was also an unused sub at Wembley as FC Halifax won the FA Trophy last month.
The former Brighouse Town and Emley keeper was recommended to the club by ex-Boro keeper Matt Glennon, after they worked together at Halifax.
Steve Kittrick said: “Jordan has got a good pedigree and played in the National League last season with FC Halifax. He is keen to play regular football again and will be a good addition to our setup for the new season.”
“We had too many goalkeepers last season and Jordan will hopefully bring a bit of stability for us in goal going forward.”
