Bradford (Park Avenue) have finally appointed a new head coach, almost two months after the season ended.
Alex Meechan will operate as head coach under director of football Terry Dolan. Meechan was Darren Edmondson’s assistant during the final few months of the season.
“It’s an exciting opportunity for me,” Meechan said. “I know it is not going to be easy but the work starts now.
“We really need to lift the supporters, who have been anxious about all the uncertainty in pre-season.
“A lot of planning has gone on behind the scenes and Terry and I will now be acting swiftly to strengthen and prepare the team for the season ahead.”
Meechan, who counts Barrow, AFC Telford, Halifax Town and York City as some of his former clubs, has a tough task ahead as most of Avenue’s side have left.
