Harrogate Town have re-signed club legend Chib Chilaka from Bradford (Park Avenue).
Chilaka is one of Harrogate’s greatest players having scored the winner in the famous 2012 FA Cup first round win at Torquay United, who were then a Football League club.
Simon Weaver said: “Since leaving us he’s had a successful time at Bradford Park Avenue and has really matured as a footballer. We’ve watched him a few times this year, and of course have seen what he’s done against us. Chib is the type of player who is a thorn in the side of defences, and can provide a constant threat in games, something we were keen to add to the group.
“He will really suit our style and shape, and provides fantastic competition for the strikers already in the squad. He gives us something else with his explosive attacking play, and is not afraid to have a shot on goal.
“He’s found his identity now as a footballer and I believe he’s a better player than when he left us. It’s clear that he’s developed physically, but hasn’t lost that hunger and desire to improve.”
