Striker Paul Beesley has become the third new signing for Scarborough Athletic ahead of the 2016/17 season.
The former Harrogate Town, Bradford Park Avenue and Gainsborough Trinity forward has joined fellow new additions Jordan Porter and Callum Terrell in making the switch to the club.
The 32-year-old has joined with the ambition of winning some silverware for his new side.
He said: “I’ve come to Scarborough because I want to win a league title for the first time in my career. Over the years I’ve been part of some really good FA Cup wins, and got to finals and just come up short.
“Steve (Kittrick) is building a strong squad with the aim of getting us out of this league. When I spoke to him he sold the club to me with the new ground and fanbase the club attracts. It’s something I’m looking forward to being a part of.”
Beasley feels he is capable of finding the back of the net for his new club.
He said: “I can hold the ball up, I’m sharp in and around the box and I’ve shown I can score regularly at a higher level.”
The 32-year-old spent much of last season working his way back from a cruciate injury in pre-season, but after playing time at Harrogate Railway and Harrogate Town at the end of last season, he is ready to kick on.
“I damaged my ACL in pre-season last year, and went into surgery straight away and only got back playing in March, but i’m back to full fitness and looking forward to the new season.”
