Jon Stewart is the new goalkeeper at Shaw Lane AFC
Former Bradford (Park Avenue) goalkeeper Jon Stewart will be between the sticks for Shaw Lane AFC in the upcoming season.
Stewart, also an ex-Bournemouth and Worksop Town stopper, is an excellent replacement for Ian Deakin and Tom Morgan.
Stewart spent the whole of last season with Avenue. His goalkeeping coach at Avenue, Matthew Wright, has followed him to Shaw Lane to take up the same position.
Ducks boss Craig Elliott has also confirmed the addition of popular local lad Joe Thornton, who enters his third spell with the club.
Player of the year Stevie Istead is staying at Shaw Lane as he has re-registered for the new campaign.
Elliott expects to add further bodies to his new-look squad soon.
