Former Derby County midfielder Adam Bolder, the brother of assistant manager Chris Bolder, has put his name down to play for Scarborough Athletic.

Bolder has been playing in the National League North for Harrogate Town and North Ferriby in the past three seasons.

Prior to that, he was a Football League player for the likes of Hull City, Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield Rangers, Millwall, Bradford City and Burton Albion.

Steve Kittrick said: ”Adam is a big signing for us, he has played in the Premier League and brings a lot of experience to our side. He is fit and hungry to bring success to the club next season.”

Scarborough kick off their pre-season campaign on Saturday with a friendly against a Scarborough League X1 at Silver Royd.
