Former Buxton midfielder has joined his old team-mate Lee Morris’ Goole AFC

Former Buxton midfielder Neil Stevens is the stand-out capture in the latest batch of signings at Goole AFC.

Stevens and Goole chief Lee Morris are good friends after playing together for Buxton. Stevens spent last season with his hometown side Farsley Celtic.

Conor Glavin is another new face to Goole. The midfielder, son of Barnsley legend Ronnie, played for Sheffield FC last season.

Brandon Burke, a former Chesterfield youngster, steps up to the first team having spent the latter part of last season in Kev Graham’s Goole development team.

Goalkeeper Dan Morton has signed on. He comes from local football.

Re-signing for Goole are Derry Robson and Ben Greasley. Morris now has sixteen players registered, including himself.

Morris has a busy day ahead of himself as he is hosting a football match to raise money for the family of his brother-in-law who sadly passed away last month.

Morris has gathered a team of current and ex-semi-professional players to take on local over 35s team Plough at the Queens Pub in Wath, Barnsley Road, S63 6DQ. Kick off is 12pm.
