Tom Taylor has decided to leave Farsley Celtic and has returned to Brighouse Town

Tom Taylor’s move back to Brighouse Town from Farsley Celtic has been confirmed.

Taylor called time on his two-year stint as Farsley’s number one goalkeeper last week and he played for Brighouse in their 3-2 win over Buxton on Friday night.

Taylor is an immensely popular figure at the Dual Seal Stadium as he was part of the Brighouse team which finished as Toolstation NCEL Premier Division runners-up in 2013.

He was a decent stopper then and he’s got even better since. The marker for how his development has gone is when he won the Evo Stik Division One North young player of the year award in April 2015.

The fact he won the supporters player of the year trophy for two seasons running shows how popular he was on the terraces at Throstle Nest.

Taylor replaces new Garforth Town goalkeeper Paul Hagreen at Brighouse. Farsley have yet to announce their replacement for Taylor.
