The Toolstation Northern Counties East League 2016/17 fixtures come out on Friday
Toolstation Northern Counties East League clubs will receive their fixture lists on Friday.
The league is bombarded every July by emails and tweets from people demanding to know when the fixtures are going to be released, despite the fact the NCEL cannot do anything until the Evo Stik League announces their fixtures.
That happened last Friday and league chairman and fixture secretary David Morrall has done very well to resolve a number of issues, enabling him to complete the fixtures in a very short space of time.
The league has to take into account that Premier Division clubs Albion Sports and Bridlington Town ground-share with Evo Stik clubs – Farsley Celtic and Scarborough Athletic.
This year’s Division One fixtures have been very difficult to compile as several clubs – including AFC Emley and Hallam – cannot play at home on a Saturday in the opening part of the season because of cricket.
The added complication was the fact that some clubs are in Emirates FA Cup action on the opening day.
