Knaresborough Town’s frustrations at missing out on an Emirates FA Cup place has been exasperated after they were given no opening day fixture.

Because of the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round, there was a odd number of teams who were available for a Division One fixture on August 6th. Knaresborough have been the unlucky club.

Paul Stansfield’s men now start their season on Wednesday August 10th with a home game against relegated Nostell Miners Welfare.

There are several new eras which begin on August 6th. Newcomers Campion head to to Westella & Willerby, while Dave Ricardo makes his bow as Hall Road Rangers manager with a home game against Glasshoughton Welfare. Glasshoughton are also under new management as Darren Holmes and Lee Vigars are now in charge.

Ricardo’s eagerly-anticipated face-off with his old club Selby Town is over the Christmas. Selby host the first encounter on Boxing Day before heading over to Hull on January 2nd.

Title favourites AFC Emley start their league on Wednesday 17th August with a trip to Penistone Church.
