Knaresborough Town secured a narrow 3-2 victory at Garforth Town, with star striker Brad Walker leading the way with two goals.
In an end-to-end encounter, Walker broke the deadlock in the 12th minute after capitalising on a mistake by a Garforth defender.
The Miners responded straightaway with captain for the day Nick Black setting up Lee Turner for a carefully driven low effort.
Former Knaresborough defender Luke McCrum showed off his heading ability with a delightful header from a Garforth free kick to put the Miners in front for the only time.
By half-time, the visitors had drawn level again. Colin Heath was allowed a free run and the ex-Manchester United trainee finished with ease.
Walker added his second goal on the hour, at the second attempt after goalkeeper Paul Hagreen initially made the save.
Both sides had chances as the game fizzled. Garforth striker Mark Simpson was denied by Knaresborough stopper Jack Rushworth in a one-on-one situation, while visitors midfielder Jim Bradley rattled the crossbar with a fine volley.
Shaw Lane AFC stormed to a 9-0 victory at Armthorpe Welfare. Shaw Lane were six goals to the good at half-time.
Ryan Farrell and Daniel Broadbent scored as Thackley won 2-0 at Stokesley.
