Neil Parsley believes Farsley Celtic have found themselves an excellent goalkeeper in Graeme McKibbin.

McKibbin, who has recently moved to the area, is vastly-experienced having played in the League of Ireland for the likes of Ards FC, Glentoran and Crusaders.

He replaces Tom Taylor, who transferred to Brighouse Town two weeks ago. McKibbin will be Farsley’s sixth new signing behind Pete Davidson, Nathan Turner, Luke O’Brien, Richard Marshall and James Walshaw.

Joint manager Parsley told Non League Yorkshire: “We have the facility to bring in a couple of players and we’re working hard, but the right ones haven’t cropped up yet.

“Pete has agreed to sign and he’ll sign on Wednesday, as will Graeme McKibben. The goalkeeper situation was a worry (when Tom Taylor) so it is good to get someone of Graeme’s calibre.

“Out of a negative comes a positive because we have touched upon Graeme.

“He’s played at a really good standard in Ireland. He’s moved over here to be with his girlfriend and he was looking for a local club.

“He trialled at Fylde, but travelling was a bit too much. We’re really pleased to get him.”
