Henri Nimi’s late equaliser secured a 2-2 draw for Frickley Athletic at Ossett Town.
The competitive friendly saw Ossett recover from a bad start to almost beat their higher league opponents after a strong second half performance.
It was an ex-Ossett player who gave Frickley the lead with only three minutes on the clock. Striker Nathan Curtis lit the first match with a blistering strike.
The home side came into it towards the end of the first half and Nick Wood equalised for them from a corner.
Half-time substitute Brad Dockerty made a massive difference for Ossett, playing against his parent club. Dockerty is on loan at Ossett and he brilliantly crossed for Nathan Quinlan to put the Ingfielders in front.
Max Phillis then hit the post with a header as Ossett looked to seal the win.
Frickley built up a period of pressure with time running out and Nimi was able to equalise with a close range finish.
