Nicholas finally lands old Garforth lads

The win was a personal highpoint for Graham Nicholas who has endured torrid spells in charge of Ossett Town and Nostell Miners Welfare during 2016

Graham Nicholas has finally persuaded two of his old Garforth Town players to join him at Nostell Miners Welfare.

Central midfielder Ash Preece and left-sided player Danny Harris were both major arteries of the Garforth team under Nicholas. The pair have been unattached all season. It was understood at one point that Harris was taking a sabbatical from football because of personal reasons. Both Garforth and Goole wanted him to sign for them.

The new Nostell boss admits in his interview that the pair were top summer targets.

Nicholas has also confirmed the captures of Craig Robinson, centre-back Emmanuel Bernard and Stefan Connor.

Defender Robinson is formerly of Pontefract Collieries, while ex-Leeds United academy striker Connor featured for Nostell during the Paul Lines era.
