James Beaston has been named as the new team captain of Garforth Town.
Jassim Alali, who became the club’s skipper after the departure of Andy Hawksworth to Ossett Town, becomes club captain in the shake-up.
Beaston was the first player to sign a form in pre-season having left Nostell Miners Welfare to move to the J.S White Community Stadium to play under his old Glasshoughton boss Rob Hunter.
He has all the attributes to be a brilliant captain for Garforth as loyalty, commitment, ability and leadership skills are all in his locker.
The Sherburn-based player has also had a hand in the signing of former Leeds United midfielder Simon Walton as the pair have been friends for years.
Garforth are at home to Warrington Town later today.
