Yorkshire Amateur 1-2 Worsbrough Bridge
Brad Kerr headed the winner as Worsbrough came from behind to score twice during injury-time and record their first competitive victory since last November.
Considering how last season went for the reprieved club, it is an absolutely brilliant start to the new campaign for Bridge, who were due a bit of luck.
Worsbrough had soaked up a lot of pressure from the Ammers and eventually it told when Andy Townsend struck in the early part of the second half.
The Worsbrough of old may have folded. But, the side containing 16-year-old Matty Pinder and 17-year-old Thomas Cropper, staged the most dramatic finales to stun the home side, who thought they had done enough for the three points.
Their captain Lee Garside headed the equaliser in the 90th minute after latching onto Ryan Hallsworth’s free kick.
That cued pandemonium, but the celebrations got even more wilder when Hallsworth produced another superb delivery to supply young Kerr in the the dying seconds.
