Aiden Savory got the winner as Farsley Celtic beat highly-fancied Colwyn Bay on the opening day.

His goal midway through the second half broke the deadlock in a tight affair.
Farsley dominated proceedings in the first half. Headline summer signing James Walshaw went close and also had a penalty appeal turned down.

New Celts goalkeeper Graeme McKibbin was needed at the start of the second half to make two fantastic saves.

Farsley got back on top and eventually forced a goal when Paddy Miller’s flighted ball found Savory who lobbed Colwyn Bay goalkeeper Shaun Pearson to score.
