Danny Harris got Graham Nicholas and Nostell Miners Welfare off the mark for the season with the second half winner at Worsbrough Bridge.
It was no easy ride against resurgent Worsbrough, who went in front close to half-time thanks to star striker Mitchell Wilshire’s brilliant goal.
Nostell struck back immediately as new signing Jake Mason went past three Worsbrough defenders before firing a low shot into the net from the edge of the penalty area.
The visitors received a let-off when Kerr missed an open net in the early stages of the second half.
They heeded the warning as former Garforth winger Danny Harris finished a well-worked corner for Nostell.
Nostell even got the chance to seal their victory during stoppage time, but Joel Dixon’s penalty came back off the crossbar.
