Danny Frost has re-signed for Ossett Town, a week after leaving Shaw Lane AFC two days before the opening game of the season.
Frost informed Ducks boss Craig Elliott eight days ago that he wasn’t enjoying his football and wanted to leave. Ossett put their seven days’ notice in during the following day.
The striker is a popular figure at Ingfield as he was their captain during the great escape last season.
“After my departure from Shaw lane there was only one club I would have wanted to sign back to,” Frost said.
“The back end of last season was one of the most enjoyable parts of my career it was a little different fighting for relegation battle but one I really enjoyed and obviously we succeeded.
“I should never have moved on and should have showed some loyalty but I suppose we live and learn from our mistakes I am delighted to have signed and hope to be involved this weekend, but seeing the result in midweek I will have a fight on my hand.”
Frost replaces Nick Guest, who re-joined Hemsworth last week after having a change of heart about signing for Ossett.
