Brett Agnew scored twice as Bridlington Town spectacularly came from behind to book a first qualifying round tie with Newcastle Benfield.

After just 11 minutes, Bridlington found themselves 2-0 down to goals from Thibault Charmey and Matty Pennal.

The fight-back began as half-time approached with Benn Lewis reducing the deficit.

Agnew’s penalty levelled matters straight after half-time before Guisborough started to lose their discipline.

Charmey saw red first and Pete Bulmer did to leave Guisborough with nine men.

It was costly for them and Agnew completed Bridlington’s comeback with ten minutes remaining.

Bridlington Town: Hitchcock, Lewis, Thompson, Harman, Nicholls, Bedford, Kirk, Fleming, Agnew, Sutton, Norfolk. Subs: Adams, Whittingham, Brunton, Waudby.

Washington 2-2 Pickering Town

Pickering Town will get a second chance to beat Washington on Tuesday night after coming close to beating the Northern League outfit, who were reduced to nine men.

Washington lost their first player, Andy Brown, to a second bookable offence on the stroke of half-time.

That was before Nick Thompson opened the scoring for Pickering straight after half-time after running through Washington’s defence.

Washington soon levelled through Callaghan.

Matty Turnbull placed Pickering back in charge with a low finish after Washington failed to clear a corner.

Pickering were pegged back again as Davison scored a penalty.

Washington’s Lewis Galpin was shown a straight red card late-on.
