Danny Clarke’s second half goal secured back-to-back wins for newly-promoted North Ferriby United

Clarke’s strike was all Ferriby needed in the solitary goal win over Torquay United.

Guiseley surrendered a winning position late-on in the 3-2 defeat at Solihull Moors – a result that cost Mark Bower his job.

Will Hatfield and Adam Boyes had scored for the Lions and they were leading 2-1 going into the final ten minutes.

Under pressure York City manager Jackie McNamara was furious after referee Steven Rushton awarded a last minute penalty which earned Forest Green a 2-1 victory.

Richard Brodie’s 20th minute strike was cancelled out, but even with ten men after captain Simon Heslop was sent off, York looked set for a point.

FC Halifax Town stayed top of the pile after thrashing Tamworth 4-0 at the Shay.

The contest was over at the interval as Town led 3-0 through goals from Danny Hone, Richard Peniket and Jordan Sinnott, with Peniket scoring again.

Warren Burrell struck at the death as Harrogate Town won 3-2 at local rivals Bradford (Park Avenue).

Luke Dean’s second half double had appeared to have earned Avenue a point. Avenue had trailed by two goals at the break through Luke Shiels and John-Paul Pitman.

Former Avenue striker Chib Chilaka had also had a penalty saved on the stroke of half-time.
