One of the NCEL’s most craziest games ever saw Penistone take their foot off the gas late-on, allowing Grimsby to reduce the deficit.
Dale Kelly scored a hat-trick for Church who battled back from conceding an early goal to lead 7-2 after just 63 minutes.
Danny Joynes, Tom Cadzow, Lewis Dickinson (2), Ashley Ellis and Scott Whittington scored for Church.
