Liversedge’s sensational start to the new season continued with the demolition of Barton Town Old Boys.
Two quick-fire goals midway through the first half gave Liversedge a controlling position at half-time. Red hot Vaughan Redford rounded the Barton goalkeeper for the opener before Rhys Davies struck.
Redford came up with another goal in the second half. Joe Walton and Mathias Britton then added the icing on the cake.
Liversedge remain top with 16 points, level with Cleethorpes who have a game-in-hand.
